Hey friends! Rosie and I would like to welcome you to our very ordinary hallway!
Except guess what?
There’s something– or someone (or someones) new in there, just waiting to meet you! And they’re kind of famous!
I’ve never officially met any of them, though one day I stood so close to one fella at Cape Fear Barbecue and Chicken that I could’ve reached over and popped a hushpuppy in his mouth– if I hadn’t been too busy trying to remember how to breathe!
Okay, enough leading you on.
Welcome to my Wall of Fame!
The Wall is not complete, but I’m working on it. One by one, these women and men keep showing up. Some bring friends and some just wander in on their own. I thought it might be fun over the next nine weeks to invite you over on Thursdays to meet the latest one hanging out. (Get it? Hanging out? Haha.)
So you may be wondering, Becky, no offense, but why should I care what nine people you think are awesome? Well, you shouldn’t care really. I just thought it’d be fun–and a good way to make me finish this project so I don’t have a bunch of empty picture frames crowding my hallway. And it occurred to me that you might enjoy making your own list of people you’d put on your Wall of Fame, if you had one. And you should! I’m having a blast thinking about these remarkable people and what I admire about them. None of them are perfect. (Who’s perfect, anyway?) They’re full of mistakes and weaknesses and I love them still.
So whom would you pick? Seriously. I’m asking! Tell me in the comments!
Sending you love, my own remarkable friends! Hope to see you on Thursday!
Becky 🙂

I’m all in! I love a fun reveal. On my hall of fame: Paris Hilton. Completely unironically. She’s a survivor and what she’s doing to protect children is incredible. Highly recommend her autobiography. You’ll be shocked at all she has to offer. Looking forward to seeing your number one tomorrow!
YAY! Thanks, Michelle, for sharing! I would’ve never thought to pick her–which shows I don’t know enough about Paris Hilton. I will check out her autobiography, thanks! I love it when people surprise me. You just don’t ever know what treasures people can be!
I have been in the process of creating a wall of the women in my life that I’ve loved dearly and have influenced and shaped me over the years. My mother, my grandmother (mother’s mother), my Aunt Flo, my daughter, my stepdaughter, my two sisters. If I can find useable pictures, I will add our next door neighbor all my years growing up. She was a second mother to me and a very special friend. And our neighbor a couple of doors up the street. She was a second grandmother to me.
Flo, I love this! What a special thing! So meaningful!❤️
I love this idea, Becky! I can’t wait to see your picks. I’ll have to give this some thought to be able to name my Wall of Fame people. My sister would definitely be one of them. I’m thinking!
Love it. You’ll have to tell me once you think of them. I limited my wall to famous people because it was too hard to limit myself to people I know! So many folks would be on my list I’d need a whole house of wall space!
I love your new wall! Can Jack the cat start eating with us?
I love Lincoln and all, but I’m not sure I’m ready to eat beside a stinky cat dish!
